- Kettle Valley Steam Railway
The ninety-minute train ride that is offered by the railway is on the only section of the historic Kettle Valley Railway that still exists. During the train ride, guests go through Summerland, over the Trout Creek Bridge, and get to see spectacular views of Okanagan Lake and the canyon below. Throughout the year, the railway offers special events including Easter Trains, Summerland Christmas Express Trains, BBQs, and the Great Train Robbery.
- Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad
For even more train fun, people can visit the Osoyoos Desert Model Railroad. Guests will enter the 4,000 square feet of space and immediately become mesmerized with everything they see. The model has two kilometers of tracks and as many as forty-five computer controlled trains racing along them. The landscaping of the model is exquisite with European style towns, 1,900 houses, and 19,000 hand painted little people.
- Kasugai Japanese Gardens
The Kasugai Japanese Gardens cover three acres and include a pond, waterfall, and stone garden. The garden itself is behind a wall enclosure next to City Hall in Kelowna and it is possible that many people who are not local do not know that it is even there. The gardens are a wonderful place to explore during the day when tranquility and quiet are needed.
- Okanagan Lavender Herb Farm
If a person has never been to a lavender farm or seen a field of lavender before, then they need to visit the Okanagan Lavender Herb Farm. It is a little off of the beaten path, but worth the time. Guests are able to take self-guided tours and learn more about the different varieties of lavender before stopping in the small shop to make some purchases.
- Myra Canyon Park
Myra Canyon Park is a great place to visit when people want to get outside in the fresh air. The views inside the park are magnificent and may people love hiking, biking, and snow shoeing in the area.
